How To Transfer Files Between 2 Computers On Same Internet Connection Please?

This is for a college project due tomorrow, so any info at all would help.
I would like to transfer 50GB of audio files from one computer (XP) to the other (Vista). These computers are connected to the same internet connection. I’m completely lost :)
